2010-2011 Board's Security Patrol Schedule

Board Security Patrol Responsibilities

(A) Before class starts – parking lot monitor

1. Arrive at 6:30 pm to office (Room 400)
2. Wear the orange vest which is stored in the file cabinet
3. Go to parking area on Waverley Street side. One post is near the East Meadow/Waverley traffic light, the other one near the 200 wing area.
4. Monitor/Advice parents do not drop off their kids on Waverley side, nor use handicap parking as drop off zone. Ask them to drive all the way at the back near the gym if they want to drop off.
5. Return to the office at 7:10 pm

(B) During class time - attending 7:45-8:15 security patrol sign-in sheet and give out vest/flash light

1. Take out security patrol binder, vests, flash lights from file cabinet in room 400.
2. Attend the sign in. Recommend fathers to take outer posts. Tell all parents to actively watch  kids during recess. Do not allow wild play, no kicking sand, no climbing poles, etc. Ask them not to chat to other parents while on duty
3. Give out vests and flash lights. Flash lights not needed if still bright by 8:15 pm
4. Attend the sign out when parents return vests/flashlights.
5. Thank them for doing the security patrol.

(C) After class – patrol campus

1. Walk/work with your partner
2. Make sure all windows are closed as you walk the hallways
3. Make sure no unattended kids waiting for pick up after school when almost everyone else is gone.
